• Co-counsel for chamber of commerce plaintiff in a federal lawsuit against another chamber of commerce for trademark infringement and related claims; includes defense of cross-claim for defamation.
• Successful referral to federal law enforcement and representation of a victim (prominent Buddhist leader) in a federal cyberstalking case involving unique facts and novel legal issues.
• Representation of the Cayman Islands Liquidators for Trade and Commerce Bank in connection with an $800 million money-laundering and Ponzi scheme in which creditors were victimized by several South American money launderers. A $16 million judgment was recently obtained against a B.V.I. entity that defrauded the bank.
• Defense counsel in Supnick v. Amazon.com and Alexa Internet, 2000 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 7073 (W.D. Wash. 2000)(defense of five consolidated nationwide class actions challenging Internet privacy practices; settled before trial), Federal Trade Commission investigation into the same privacy practices (FTC decided not to pursue enforcement action); Crowley v. Amazon.com et al., 166 F. Supp. 2d 1263 (N.D. Cal. 2001)(defense of putative nationwide class action challenging Internet privacy practices under Federal Wiretap Act and Electronic Communications Privacy Act; obtained 12(b)(6) dismissal of federal claims); Hamilton v. Amazon.com (defense of action challenging Internet privacy practice; case dismissed for failure to file in proper venue).
• Fost v. The Marin Superior Court, 80 Cal.App.4th 724 (2000) (represented journalist at trial and on appeal in case involving the state’s shield law; contempt order imposed at trial vacated on appeal).

Chun T. Wright is Of Counsel at Reid Collins & Tsai LLP in Washington, DC. Chun’s practice focuses on global intellectual property enforcement (anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting), copyright and trademark law, Internet and technology issues, money laundering, and litigation. She has represented prominent Internet and technology businesses, start-ups, and multi-national companies in numerous areas involving cutting-edge issues, including anti-piracy, intellectual property, Internet law, privacy and defamation.

Prior to joining Reid Collins & Tsai LLP, Chun was Vice President, Anti-Piracy Legal Affairs, for the Entertainment Software Association, where she devised and oversaw legal and litigation strategies for the game industry’s worldwide anti-piracy program. She also litigated for several years at major law firms in San Francisco and the Silicon Valley. Chun served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia for four years, hired by then-U.S. Attorney Eric H. Holder, Jr. As an AUSA, she tried 37 criminal cases before judges and juries, and she argued 13 cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
